Being in the decorating business for over 25 years has
enabled Doug Illman to work with the homeowner in
combining the color and decor of an area, with the
unique atmosphere of a trompe l'oeil window illusion or
wall mural. Being a trompe l'oeil artist and muralist,
Doug found that in creating an illusion, people take
some delight in being visually deceived. When the
customer is captivated by a piece of his work it gives
Doug a lot of satisfaction in knowing that his goal has
been accomplished. |

In the
development of a mural, Doug provides color sketches and
designs that he has achieved throughout the communication
process with the client on the likes and dislikes of
principal characters and color.
He uses washable acrylics
and latex paints on his murals so there aren't any toxic fumes
and your mural dries quickly.
Doug offers the client that photo-image realism that is in
his art. He says, "I think that first impression is very
important."
Doug believes that clients can potentially be
lost due to the initial look of a business card, so even his
business cards are colorful and beautifully drawn.
